| Interests HISTORY Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), Abia State Chapter, is a non- governmental, non- profit humanitarian organization introduced in the year 2005, by a group of devoted volunteer students and it is presently registered with Abia State Social Welfares. SAVE National Headquarters is; No. 322 Chapanoke Road, Suite 110,Raleigh, NC 27603, USA. SAVE is a student-initiated program that promotes nonviolence within schools and communities. It is a nonprofit organization striving to provide education about the effects and consequences of violence and helps provide safe activities for students and communities. PROGRAMMES * Sensitization programmes based on, HIV/AIDS, Violence Prevention, Drug free, Conflict, etc. * HIV/AIDS Violence Prevention, Drug free, campaign/ awareness and prevention training. * Good governance training for the populace. * Advocacy and awareness raising on educational equity for both sexes. STRATEGYStudents Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), Abia State Chapter employs the following strategies to achieve her aims and objectives: workshops, seminars, advocacy and schools/ community base dialogue, sensitization.ACTIVITIES Members participate in activities such as; conflict management, SAVE week, community volunteer work, SAVE rallies with other chapters, they also speak to other school students, attend the annual SAVE Summit, conduct educational activities such as; Quiz, Debate/ Talk-show, music, drama, Jokes, etc. MEMBERSHIPMembership is open to individuals, group and students who share the same mission of the organization subject to the approval of the general house with no regard to academic performance or school and community participation.
